Data Protection

The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung, Brussels Office, Rue Saint-Ghislain 62, 1000 Brussels, Belgium provides up-to-date services and information through the website www.rosalux.eu (as well as through subdomains and further domain aliases).

As a provider, we take the protection of your personal data seriously and strictly comply with data protection law. Personal data are only collected on the website to the necessary extent. The collected data are never sold or passed on to third parties for any other reason.

The following statement gives you an overview of how we ensure such protection and what types of data are collected for what purpose.

Anonymised data processing

When using online services, data are generated. Those data are transmitted to us by your browser and are stored in the log files of the web server. Those data are: browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (last visited page), time of the server request, anonymised IP address.

The service provider cannot allocate such data to specific persons. They are solely used for system-related and statistical purposes. These data are not combined with other data sources.

Cookies

When accessing the homepage of rosalux.eu, cookies are stored temporarily in your browser. Temporary means that the cookies are only valid until the end of the respective browser session and are deleted following closure of the program. Rosalux.eu does not host any pages with login areas or individual visitor sessions. The cookies therefore do not contain any user-specific or personal data and are only used for statistical purposes.

Data may be collected by third-party providers (SoundCloud, Google, Facebook, Twitter, make.tv, Flickr) via cookies on various pages of www.rosalux.eu. You can prevent that by blocking cookies of third-party providers in your browser settings.

Web analysis

The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung, Brussels Office, uses the open source software “Piwik” for web analysis. The alternative to “Google Analytics” is safe with respect to data protection – collected data, such as the number of visitors, page clicks, search terms, referrers, entry pages, exit pages and IP addresses, are stored on the server of an independent provider for the purpose of statistical analysis for the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and are not misused for other (e.g. commercial) purposes.

You have the right at any time to information about the data stored concerning your person, the origin and recipient of such data, and the purpose of the storage. In addition, you may, of course, withdraw your consent to the collection and storage of your personal data at any time. In such cases, please contact:
